End cut

#113

An end cut at an angle is a processing of the chipboard edge, performed not perpendicular to the surface of the slab (as with a standard straight cut), but at a certain angle (for example, 45°, 30° or another angle). This cut can be both decorative and functional.

    • For cutting at an angle, special equipment is used: circular saws with an adjustable angle of inclination of the disk, formatting machines or hand routers. Accuracy depends on the tool setting and the quality of the chipboard.
    • An angled cut is often used to join parts (for example, when assembling corner joints in furniture). The joint at 45° (on the miter side) ensures strength and a neat appearance without visible ends.
    • An angular cut can be a design element that emphasizes the geometry of the product, especially in modern styles (minimalism, hi-tech)
    • The corner end is usually covered with an edge tape adjusted to an angle, or sanded and coated with a protective compound. For laminated chipboards, contrasting materials are sometimes used to emphasize the cut.

The end cut at an angle can be arbitrary or standard. An arbitrary cut is specified by the client in the order itself. To add a standard end cut in the Admin Panel, you need to click on the “Add” button and fill out all the form parameters.
