Production times are set according to the type of operation.
For example: There are several different cutting services tied to different thicknesses and types of materials. All these services are tied to the “cutting” service type.
When determining the production time for services with the “cutting” type, the same algorithm will be used.
In the service, the production period is calculated for the Buyer using 3 methods:
1. If the production deadline is set manually .
For example: today is 10/10/__. The production deadline was set for date 14/10/__. All cutting services that take place on 10/10/__ will be completed by 10/14/__. If today is 10/10/__, then the service stops further calculations, since an explicit value is specified.
2. If today is 10/11/__, the production date for 10/11/__ is not set. Calculation by days is enabled (default value).
The system searches for the closest date value with the established average number of days to complete the service.
We set it 10/10/__ to 14/10/__, the average number of days to complete (default value) was 4 days.
The system will display the production date for the service with the “cutting” type of 10/15/__.
3. If it is set in the company parameters that the period should be calculated automatically , the mechanism for recalculating the previous paragraph is activated:
a. The system looks at how many orders have already been accepted for the type of service being calculated. How many of them have not been completed?
b. Calculates the amount of time required to produce these services, based on the specified production speed in the “machine services” section.
c. Let’s see if the closest production deadline setting has “the ability to produce minutes per day.” If the value is more than 0, the system calculates the actual production time for already accepted orders in days, and then displays the date on which the accepted order will be ready.
4. For all calculation methods, the number of days is used, which is added to the calculated one (see “Company parameters” in the Admin Panel). This has to do with logistics. If such an addition is not needed, set 0 in the required parameter.
You need to start by setting deadlines manually every day. Once statistics appear in the system, you can analyze the data and set deadlines in days.
After transferring all orders to iFurn.pro, you can enable automatic calculation of production times.
