End processing. Mortise handles

#110

Mortise handles, or profile handles, are a popular solution for furniture, doors and other products where an aesthetic and functional element is required. The ability to process the end of a part for such handles is only one of the components of the work. To complement this process and make it more qualitative, efficient and professional, the following aspects can be considered:

  • Selection of equipment and tools : To process the end for profile handles, CNC milling machines, manual milling machines or special attachments are often used. Make sure that the tool allows you to accurately follow the dimensions and shape of the groove for the handle.
  • Selecting cutters : Use cutters that match the profile of the handle (for example, straight, radius or shaped). For clean processing, choose cutters with carbide or diamond tips.
  • Templates and guides : For precise and repeatable machining, templates can be made or guides can be used, especially when it comes to mass production.
  • Edge processing : After milling the end, it is important to properly process the edges to avoid chips, burrs and ensure a smooth surface.

To add a new handle, you need to go to the "Add handles" tab and fill out the template with the appropriate parameters.
