Machine tools

#135

In this section, you need to add all the Company's machines to the system. If you have, for example, three edgebanding machines with the same characteristics, it is enough to enter one machine as a common representative. Setting up the machines allows the system to understand their capabilities and limitations in order to correctly distribute tasks, calculate deadlines and generate programs for processing panel materials.

What you need to specify:

  1. Types of operations:
    • For each machine, mark what kind of work it does. For example, a saw center — cutting, an edger — edging, a CNC — drilling and milling.
  2. Limitations for CNC machines - tool placement:
    • Indicate where exactly the tool is located. For example, if a 2 mm blind hole drill only works on the front side of the part, note this without adding drilling on the back side. This reflects the actual position of the tool on the machine.
  3. Size limitations for CNC machines:
    • Set the minimum and maximum processing sizes:
      • Minimum on the X side of the part.
      • Maximum for X detail.
      • Maximum for Y part.
    • These parameters help the system generate programs. For example, if the maximum Y is 800 mm, and the part is 400 x 900 mm, the program will rotate the part by 90 degrees, and the machine will process it without operator intervention.
  4. Limiting drilling beyond the part boundaries (for CNC machines):
    • Specify if the machine cannot drill outside the part.
    • Example: vertical machine with a bottom base. If you need to drill under the rafix on the bottom side (the drill goes beyond the part), the machine will give an error. Set the limit on the bottom side - the program will turn 180 degrees, and the machine will perform the task without problems.
  5. Possibility of making vertical grooves with a saw:

    • The machine must support vertical movement of the saw blade.
    • Have a saw blade that is suitable for creating grooves of the specified depth and width.
    • For CNC machines, it should be possible to set the trajectory of the vertical groove via software.

When setting up each machine, you need to check the box if it can make vertical slots without turning the part.

  6. Type of back side processing:

For each machine, you need to select one of the options for processing the back side:

    • Double sided :
      • The machine processes both sides of the workpiece (front and back) simultaneously.
    • Mirror horizontally :
      • The machine processes only one side; to process the reverse side, the part must be turned over along the X axis (from left to right).
    • Mirror vertically :
      • The machine processes only one side; to process the reverse side, the part must be turned over along the Y axis (from top to bottom).
  7. Edge trimming:

If you want the system to generate edge trimming on CNC machines, check the box.

8. Entry/exit of the cutter into the part:

If you check the box, the entry and exit behind the part will be removed on all milling. This is important for KDT machines with automatic edge trimming.

9. Disable tool numbers:

Some modern CNC machines support automatic deep milling splitting. This means that the machine can use multiple cutters (e.g. top and bottom) to distribute the workload when machining deep pockets or profiles. If you use the cutter number transfer disable option, the machine will automatically split the work between the top and bottom cutters and ignore the left and right compensation settings, as the deep milling strategy takes priority.

Here you can also go to the Form for adding machines by clicking on the "Create" button.
After filling in the required parameters, you must click the "Submit" button.
In the "XNC Limits" field, be sure to enter all real spindles on the machine.
