Planned remains of sheet materials

Planned remains of sheet materials are those parts of sheet materials (for example, chipboard, laminated chipboard, MDF) that are calculated in advance and expected after cutting during the production process. Unlike accidental or unexpected scraps, planned scraps result from conscious optimization of cutting and planning to minimize waste and preserve useful pieces for later use.
 
Planning goal:
  • Reduce material wastage and reduce raw material costs.
  • Keep pieces that can be used in the future (for example, for small parts, inserts or other orders).
  • Increase production efficiency by avoiding unnecessary trimmings.
Accounting and management:
  • Planned balances are recorded at the pre-production stage in the system (for example, q.ifurn.pro).
  • After cutting, employees confirm their availability and size by entering the data into records.
  • These remnants are immediately sent to a warehouse (for example, to a storage area for residual sheet materials) and are clearly marked.
Application:
  • Used in future orders if dimensions and specifications are appropriate.
  • Can be planned for specific products (for example, shelves or back walls of furniture).
  • Sometimes reserved for urgent or small-scale orders.

In this section of the Admin Panel you can track the planned remains of sheet materials. The page displays the last 50 records. In order to analyze the Planned balances of sheet materials from orders, you need to use filters and apply them. You can see complete information on the remaining material, as well as the Material Return Plan (Closed or not closed). The summary plan according to the applied filter is also shown (Capitalized from plan, Capitalized from orders, Capitalized without orders, Capitalized and available in warehouse).

In the action column you can print a sticker for the balance.

Plans for the delivery of balances are stored for 28 days. Then they are deleted from the server. If the remainder was used for production needs or turned out to be defective, the service station can write it off. To do this, we enter the reason for marriage in the comment. After this, the order will become closed.
